Our team supported a JKKP (DOSH) annual boiler inspection in Malaysia — preparing the boiler, testing safety devices, and ensuring everything met regulatory requirements so the plant keeps its Certificate of Fitness and stays safe and legal to operate.
About This Inspection
Every steam boiler in Malaysia must be inspected and certified by JKKP (Jabatan Keselamatan dan Kesihatan Pekerjaan, or DOSH) to remain legal to operate. The annual inspection verifies that the boiler is structurally sound, its safety devices work, and it can run safely under pressure.
PK Comrades prepares boilers for this inspection and supports the process end to end — so our clients walk into their JKKP inspection ready to pass, not hoping to.
What a JKKP Boiler Inspection Covers
A JKKP periodic inspection checks the boiler across several key areas:
- Certification & documentation — valid Certificate of Fitness, registration, and records.
- Pressure parts — shell, tubes, and welds checked for corrosion, thinning, and damage.
- Safety devices — safety valves, low-water cut-offs, gauges, and interlocks tested.
- Operation — competent boilerman, water treatment, and proper log keeping.
A boiler operating without a valid Certificate of Fitness is illegal and may void insurance. Passing JKKP inspection keeps your plant compliant, your insurance valid, and — most importantly — your people safe.
